Two Trucks Collide in Brighton, No Injuries Reported
No injuries or severe damage resulted from a February 24 crash on Railroad St. in Brighton involving two commercial trucks. A 2020 Freightliner oil truck operated by Brian Jones, 32, of Newport Center, was turning onto Route 114 when it was struck by a Peterbilt truck tractor, hauling a chip trailer, driven by Tucker Hubbard-Sizen, 27, of Burke. Both trucks sustained minor damage, police said, because the tractor-trailer operator saw the oil truck pulling out of the driveway and started to brake. A post-crash inspection was completed on both vehicles, which drove away from the scene.
