The Vermont Governor of Red Sox Nation has passed away

The Vermont Governor of Red Sox Nation has passed away.  Glen Jardine of Lyndonville was named the Governor of Red Sox Nation in 2009, and held that title until his death.  As Governor, he brought the Red Sox 2004, 2007 and 2013 World Series trophies to his alma mater, Lyndon Institute, where hundreds of Red Sox fans from all over the Northeast Kingdom flocked to meet “Wally The Green Monster” and take their photos with the trophies. Jardine, who was 47, leaves his wife of 12 years, Mary (Hever) Jardine, and their children, Irie Grace and Quinn David Jardine, all of Sheffield; plus his mother, Posie Jardine of Lyndonville; and his brother, Stephen Jardine and wife, Tonja, of Lyndonville.
