The Select Board will use the towns remaining American Rescue Plan Act dollars

WATERFORD — The Select Board will use the town’s remaining American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars to fix the aging town garage. By a 5-0 vote on Monday, the board allocated $27,495.14 in ARPA funds to address the aging structure. The town has not decided whether to repair, renovate or replace the 54-year-old garage. Selectwoman Sue Hayes said it was time to tackle the issue after several aborted attempts. At Selectman Kevin Gillander’s suggestion, the board will conduct a site visit of the town garage before their next meeting on Sept. 23. Members of the public are welcome to attend. The site visit is intended to restart discussions on the future of the building.
