Sugar Hill Celebrates New $4.5 Million Crane Hill Road Bridge Over Gale River

SUGAR HILL — On a chilly Wednesday morning above the Gale River, residents, town officials, engineers, and the work crew gathered for a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the next-generation Crane Hill Road bridge, a new $4.5 million structure replacing the original bridge that served the community for a century. The new bridge was built in Ohio, brought to Sugar Hill in pieces, and assembled on site with the help of a large crane that lowered it onto new abutments.
