The Pemigewasset Valley Search and Rescue Team (PVSART) reported two incidents

NORTH COUNTRY — The Pemigewasset Valley Search and Rescue Team (PVSART) reported two incidents over the three-day Columbus Day weekend. On Saturday, the Pemi Team responded to a hiker with a lower leg injury on the Sugarloaf Trail off Zealand Road in Carroll. The hiker was taken 0.7 miles to the trailhead. On Monday, the Pemi Team dispatched for another hiker with a lower leg injury on the Tuckerbrook Trail in Franconia. The response took approximately 20 minutes. It was an unusually quiet holiday weekend for the Pemi Team, given the volume of pedestrian traffic on regional hiking trails during peak leaf-peeping season.
