New Hampshire authorities reported that the remains of a man from Maine were found in Stark, N.H. on Friday. Identified through an autopsy by Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Mitchell L. Weinberg in Concord, N.H., was Alex Jackson, 34, Windham, Maine. He had been missing since May 2023. His remains were found during a search that involved New Hampshire State Police and New Hampshire Fish and Game, with assistance from the Maine State Police, the Windham, Maine Police Department, and Maine Warden Service. Authorities did not share the cause and manner of Jackson’s death, but a man named Joseph Chute, 30, of Leeds, Maine, has been charged with causing Jackson’s death.
