For the second time since mid-May a man has been accused of exposing himself at the fishing access in Wells River. Brian Barnett, 52, of Washington, Vt., was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, according to a report from Trooper Elisabeth Plympton. She reported that about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday state police received a report that a man at the fishing access was in a van and “exposing himself in a lewd way to people at the fishing access.” Police responded and reportedly found Barnett naked at the fishing access. Trooper Plympton noted that he appeared to be intoxicated. She also reported that Barnett is not supposed to drive a vehicle that is not equipped with an interlock alcohol consumption detection device. The van he was in had no such device. Barnett has been cited to appear in Orange Superior Court on Aug. 9.
