Directors for the Littleton Community Center have appointed a new executive director

LITTLETON — As they advance major renovation plans and programming ideas for the carriage barn out back and seek to boost programming and activities at the community house, the directors for the Littleton Community Center have appointed a new executive director, Barbara Buckley. The position marks the first of its kind for the 141-year-old community house and annex, which in 2023 were added to the National Register of Historic Places. A big part of the rationale for implementing an executive director is to have someone oversee expanded programming and the eventual reopening and promotion of the carriage barn, or annex, which will be used for performances, concerts, and other events that will help it support itself and keep activities affordable for residents, Kathleen Smith, who serves on LCC board of volunteer directors, said Wednesday.
