Westmore Hosts “Long Spoons” Community Gathering on October 17

WESTMORE — The Town of Westmore recently received a small award from NOFA to hold a “Long Spoons” event. The tale of the Long Spoons is about a gathering where the spoons by the hungry participants are too long to feed themselves. They realize that they can enjoy the feast by feeding each other. The intent of the grant is to support building connections in a community. “We are using this grant as well as funds from the Town of Westmore to host a Community Gathering at the Westmore Cottage on Saturday October 17 from 4-6 p.m.,” officials from the Community Spaces and Activities Committee noted.
