Vehicle Seized in Hit-and-Run That Injured Former Colebrook Coach Buddy Trask

CANAAN — Investigators have seized a vehicle in connection with a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured former Colebrook boys basketball coach Buddy Trask on Monday, Essex County Sheriff Trevor Colby said Tuesday afternoon. The Essex County Sheriff’s Department is preparing an application for a warrant to search the vehicle, Colby said. Investigators were working with the Essex County state’s attorney as they drafted the warrant. Colby did not identify the vehicle or say where or when it was seized. The development followed what Colby described as an “amazing” response from people who provided video and other information after authorities appealed to the public for help on Monday afternoon.
