A Lancaster man whom prosecutors say was distracted by the use of his cell phone while behind the wheel of a big rig when he struck and killed an elderly man in a Littleton crosswalk has been charged with negligent homicide. In the April round of felony indictments released Friday, James A. Dingman, 44, was indicted by a Grafton Superior Court grand jury on a Class B felony count of negligent homicide for the incident that occurred just before 4 p.m. on Feb. 9, 2022, in front of the Littleton Public Library along Main Street.
