State police have made an arrest for an incident that occured at Chaput Family Farm in North Troy on May 28, 2023. Travis Columbia, 46, Derby Line, was arrested by police on Friday and charged with two counts of burglary, grand larceny, aggravated operation without owner’s consent, unlawful mischief and arson. The almost-year-old case began when troopers at the Derby barracks were advised of a break-in at 1688 Route 105 in Newport Center. The building that sits at that location is a closed restaurant. Columbia was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court in Newport on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. Anyone with information regarding this case who has not yet spoke with State Police is asked to contact Sgt.
