A Hyde Park man was jailed Tuesday
BURLINGTON — A Hyde Park man, who failed to show up for his federal arraignment on charges related to a double homicide in Orleans County last fall, was jailed Tuesday. The federal arrest warrant for Dilan D. Jiron, 28, was issued when he blew off his hearing in U.S. District Court in Burlington on Friday. St. Albans City Police lodged Jiron at the Northwest State Correctional Facility shortly after noon Tuesday, according to a prison spokesman. Officials said Jiron was taken into custody after he appeared at Vermont Superior Court in St. Albans in the morning for a status conference on some pending state charges. Jiron is named in a federal indictment that charges him with aiding the reported triggerman, Theodore “Theo” Bland, 29, of Burlington, to avoid capture in the double homicide in October in Lowell, records show.
