Littleton Accepts 44000 Grant to Support Police Role in Statewide Drug Task Force

LITTLETON—To continue fighting dangerous narcotics in the community, the Select Board on Monday voted 5-0 to accept and expend a $44,000 grant from the New Hampshire Department of Justice. The money accepted during a board work session enables the Littleton Police Department to continue assigning one of its officers to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Drug Task Force. The funding is revenue to the town and fully pays for a budgeted drug task force position within the LPD’s operating budget. The attorney general’s drug task force is a multi-agency collaboration with statewide jurisdiction. It partners with local and state police as well as federal agencies on some cases.
