Bow Man Dies in Stark House Fire; Woman Seriously Injured

STARK — A 63-year-old Bow man died of smoke inhalation in a house fire early Sunday in Stark that also seriously injured a woman, according to state officials. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner identified the deceased man as Michael Bussiere. His death was ruled accidental. Firefighters were called to 37 Montgomery Road shortly before 1:30 a.m. Sunday, after an adult female resident reported the fire to a neighbor, who called 911. Dispatchers learned that another person remained inside the home as the fire spread. A neighbor tried to enter the burning home to rescue Bussiere but couldn’t because the fire was spreading, according to the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office. When firefighters arrived a few minutes later, the house was fully involved, with flames coming from the doors and windows. Firefighters initially couldn’t enter because conditions were worsening. After the fire was brought under control around 4:30 a.m., Bussiere and two dogs were found dead inside the home. The surviving victim, an adult woman, was airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The woman, whose name was not released, remained hospitalized Monday and was in stable condition,
