St. Johnsbury School was forced to cancel all classes on Monday

St. Johnsbury School was forced to cancel all classes on Monday due to a burst pipe that flooded part of the school and damaged a couple of classrooms. The issue was found early Monday morning when school staff arrived around 5:45 a.m. to open the building for the school day and discovered about 1/4 inch of water in the main floor hallway near the heart of the building. The culprit was a small, copper water line inside an interior wall in the supply closet of the lower school art room. St. Johnsbury School Facilities Director Marc Brown said he believes the pipe probably burst sometime late Sunday night or early Monday, given the extent of damage, which could have been much worse.
