Relationships and partnerships are at the core of the Littleton Industrial Development Corp

LITTLETON — Relationships and partnerships are at the core of the Littleton Industrial Development Corp., said its president, who gave an update on LIDC’s partnership with Affordable Housing, Education and Development Inc. Being explored is the idea of building a workforce housing development on a piece of land in the Littleton Industrial Park. Several years ago, it sold that property to White Mountains Community College, which this year debuted a new stand-alone building to house a range of college programs. LIDC has 115 acres in the industrial park that can be developed as well as 42 developable acres that it bought from the town several years ago for $1. A Northern Border Regional Commission grant is allowing LIDC to embark on the fourth phase of industrial park expansion, behind the Littleton Transfer Station, and that money is helping to pay for the construction of a road so owners of businesses that want to set up or expand can view the site.
