St. Johnsbury Group Discusses Neglected Downtown Properties

ST. JOHNSBURY — Community members working toward a more vibrant and welcoming downtown discussed on Wednesday how owners of neglected vacant properties need to join the effort.

The conversation on Wednesday, held at the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on Main Street, was the third gathering of a stakeholders group comprised of businesspeople, town officials, town employees, leaders and staff from area organizations.

The meeting on Wednesday came two days after downtown business owner Sheila Weston and business owner and downtown property owner David Roth led a weed and trash clean-up project along Railroad Street.
