NEK Broadband announced Monday that it has added new addresses in Waterford to its fiber network

NEK Broadband announced Monday that it has added new addresses in Waterford to its fiber network as it continues its mission to bring high-speed internet to underserved communities in the Northeast Kingdom. The Waterford network was funded by federal grants through the Vermont Community Broadband Board and the town’s contribution of American Rescue Plan Act funds. High-speed internet via NEK Broadband is now available in some areas of Waterford that previously did not have access to cable internet service, states NEK Broadband. The recent work included activating service along 22 roads and covering more than 600 addresses in Waterford and installations have already begun. NEK Broadband anticipates service in several more towns will be added by year’s end.
