Spring turkey season is underway in Vermont

MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Spring turkey season is underway in Vermont. The month long season opened a half hour before sunrise Wednesday. Hunters can use archery or shotgun equipment. Two bearded turkeys can be taken and must be reported to Vermont Fish and Wildlife within 48 hours. This season also marks the 51st hunting season since wild turkeys were reintroduced to Vermont by the Fish and Wildlife Department. The season ends on May 31.
