Greg Darling on Tuesday announced that he is dropping out

LITTLETON — Eyeing a potential relocation to North Carolina, Greg Darling on Tuesday announced that he is dropping out of the Littleton Select Board race. The withdrawal leaves three candidates — Paul Lehmann, Kerri Harrington, and Rudy Gelsi — vying for the board’s one open three-year seat. Despite Darling’s withdrawal from the race, it is too late in the town meeting process to remove his name from the ballot. He said he wants voters to be aware that if they vote for him, they would be voting for someone who technically is no longer running and could not give them the expected time commitment. Darling is looking to move outside Charlotte, North Carolina, to be closer to his son and his son’s family.
