A teenager from Sutton suffered life-threatening injuries in a car crash

A teenager from Sutton suffered life-threatening injuries in a car crash in Burke early on Saturday. The 17-year-old victim in the crash was driving a 2005 Ford Focus in the area of Route 5 and Burke Hollow Road when the teen’s vehicle crashed, according to a report by Vermont State Trooper Griffin Pearson. The trooper did not provide the name of the teenager. The weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash. The trooper noted that state police learned of the crash at 1:25 a.m. Responding troopers found the car about 30 yards off the roadway. The only occupant was the driver and the driver was found outside the vehicle, which was totaled. Troopers are continuing the investigation and request anyone with information pertaining to the crash contact the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury Barracks at 802-748-3111. Troopers were assisted on scene by members of the West Burke Fire Department.
