A Caledonia County man sold illegal drugs four times

BURLINGTON – A Caledonia County man, who authorities said sold illegal drugs four times to a confidential informant in recent months, was ordered jailed in federal court on Friday pending further hearings. Dakota McAllister, 25, who has lived mostly in St. Johnsbury in recent years, is charged with distribution of and possession with intent to distribute both fentanyl and crack cocaine in May and June 2024, according to a federal criminal complaint filed this week. The Vermont Drug Task Force and U.S. Homeland Security Investigations arrested McAllister during a court-ordered search Thursday at 895 Red Village Road in Lyndonville, where he has been staying and using as a drug distribution center in recent weeks, records show.
