A man arrested on a warrant in St. Johnsbury pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault by mutual affray on Emerson Falls Road in St. Johnsbury. Seth Willard, 38, homeless, was sentenced to 0-1 days in jail with credit for time served. Willard, was convicted of assaulting Megan Young, 39, on Sept. 21. Young was also charged with simple assault by mutual affray. Her case is still pending. State Police Tpr. David Hastings said that both suspects were battling each other. Willard told police that Young accused him of taking her phone. “Willard said Young then started grabbing for his things and destroying his belongings.” “Willard stated Megan then popped his air mattress, hit his car with an axe, and threw his shoe down to the river. A witness, told police she heard yelling at the parking area, looked over and saw a flash of woman being thrown to the ground by the male. She then saw the male have his hands on the women. She told police that the female then threw several punches at the male’s face.
