The USFS Mount Washington Avalanche Center (MWAC) is advising the public

PINKHAM NOTCH, N.H. — The USFS Mount Washington Avalanche Center (MWAC) is advising the public to be aware of elevated avalanche danger in the Presidential Range of the White Mountains. Due to the recent spring storm and ongoing unsettled weather, the avalanche danger in the Presidential Range will remain elevated. The Tuckerman Ravine Trail, which passes through Tuckerman Ravine, climbs steep slopes that are at risk of large avalanches. MWAC personnel urge people to make informed decisions based on these conditions and be prepared for extreme weather and winter conditions. Stay informed about changing conditions by visiting mountwashingtonavalanchecenter.org; and https://mountwashington.org/weather/higher-summits-forecast, for higher-elevation weather.
