A local man accused of beating and strangling a 24-year-old woman

A local man accused of beating and strangling a 24-year-old woman in a wooded area has reached a plea agreement with the state. The alleged victim was saved by ATV riders who took her to their camp and called 911. Parker Lovell, 25, of Maidstone, pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated domestic assault, unlawful restraint and two violations of conditions of release in exchange for a contested sentencing. The plea agreement has a cap of 5-15 years in prison. The state dismissed charges of aggravated domestic assault, kidnapping and two violations of conditions of release as part of the plea agreement. Before reaching the plea deal with the state, Lovell faced a possible sentence of up to 30 years in prison and $50,000 in fines.
