LITTLETON – The LGBTQ+ murals at the heart of last year’s political firestorm have been removed. The three murals were taken down from the side of 60 Main St. on Wednesday because the building is scheduled to be renovated and painted. In a press release, the White Mountain Art Syndicate said the murals will soon be exhibited at the Littleton Studio School until a permanent outdoor location can be secured. “We’re happy to have them,” said Lori Silva, Executive Director of the Studio School. “Exhibiting them reinforces our mission to support the community beyond our doors as well as helping to foster a society where imagination and curiosity flourish. These beautiful, vibrant paintings are an ideal representation of these qualities”. The murals created by Vermont artist Meg Reinhold were commissioned by North Country Pride with grant monies provided by Granite United Way.
