Police have launched an investigation and are looking into a possible stalker

LITTLETON — Following a personal attack against the town manager, police have launched an investigation and are looking into a possible stalker. Sometime from Thursday evening to early Friday morning, someone took a copy of Thursday’s Littleton-Record that had a photograph of Town Manager Jim Gleason on”a slanderous homophobic statement” it, wrote  over his face, and slipped it into the town’s drop box in front of the Bank of New Hampshire, which houses the town offices on the second floor. Gleason, whose late son, Patrick, was gay, and who tendered his resignation during Monday’s Select Board meeting because of exhaustion from the town’s LGBTQIA+ saga originating from past public comments made by Select Board member Carrie Gendreau about the LGBTQIA+ community as well as past personal attacks made against him by others, discovered it Friday morning. Until now, Gleason, in his decades as a municipal manager, said he never felt unsafe while leaving his office for home Littleton police, who were notified shortly after the discovery, are now working to find the perpetrator and are putting in place a safety plan for Gleason in the event the situation escalates.
