LYNDONVILLE — Police caught up with a a man and women who allegedly stole from the Town Corner store on Dec. 20. The Lyndonville Police Dept. received a complaint about a man coming into the Town Corner store, located at 12 Broad St., stealing an item without paying, fleeing the building and getting into the passenger seat of a vehicle in the parking lot. The female operator drove in reverse and struck an object on the exterior of the store before driving away. After an investigation, Leonard Garcia, 30, of Barnet was cited for retail theft, and Brittney MacDougall, 30, of St. Johnsbury was cited for leaving the scene of an accident, and negligent operation. MacDougall was also issued two Vermont Civil Violation Complaints totaling $497 in waiver fines. Both are cited into Caledonia Superior Court with an arraignment date of Feb. 12.
