Vermont State police raided a Hardwick residence on Friday

HARDWICK – Vermont State police raided a Hardwick residence on Friday in search of stolen property, including firearms as part of a major ongoing investigation into crimes in the area, officials said. Joel Gouin, 38, of Hardwick will be facing charges in Vermont Superior Court in St. Johnsbury later this month for burglary and possession of stolen property in connection with the early morning court-ordered search, police said. Members of the state police uniform and detective divisions, along with the Vermont Drug Task Force were part of the raid at 7 Hillside Street.  Anybody with information about the burglaries or recent crimes in the area, is asked to call state police at (802) 748-3111 and ask for Fecher or Trooper Evan Johnson.
