Vermont State Police and other first responders were on the scene

ST. JOHNSBURY — Vermont State Police and other first responders were on the scene of a single-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon on Hospital Drive, where a pickup truck went down an embankment. According to state police, Midge Lubot, 76, of St. Johnsbury, left the roadway shortly after 1 p.m. in her 2016 Ford F150 and struck a power pole near the intersection with Depot Hill Road, causing a power outage at a nearby daycare center and a home.Lubot was not entrapped and able to exit the vehicle on her own. The driver was transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital by CALEX Ambulance at 1:40 p.m. for suspected minor injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
