Vermont Arts Council Awards $725,000 in Grants, Including a Co-op Mural

MONTPELIER, VT — The Vermont Arts Council announced this week $725,000 in grants to support public artwork, community arts projects, and the ongoing operations of arts organizations across the state. A total of 95 grants were awarded through the Council’s Animating Infrastructure, Arts Operating, and Arts Project grant programs. The recipients include numerous groups throughout the Northeast Kingdom. Projects include a collaboration between Catamount Arts and the St. Johnsbury Food Co-op to design a mural for the exterior of the co-op building. Animating Infrastructure Grants are supported by the State of Vermont, the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional support from generous private donors.
