Two candidates have come forward to fill a Select Board opening

LANCASTER — Two candidates have come forward to fill a Select Board opening. On Thursday, Budget Committee member Erik Becker and former Conservation Commissioner Rob Christie submitted their names for consideration as interim board members. Both jumped in early. The board has not formally announced an appointment process or deadline for candidate submissions. The remaining two members of the three-member Select Board will meet next on Sept. 28 and Oct. 2. Whoever is chosen will serve the remainder of former Chair Troy Merner’s three-year term, which ends in March.
