To revise, or not? Town Meeting will answer that question in March

WATERFORD — To revise, or not? Town Meeting will answer that question in March. By a 5-0 vote on Dec. 18, the Select Board approved a draft warning article asking voters whether to amend the municipal ordinance prohibiting all-terrain vehicle (ATV) travel on town-maintained roads. The draft article reads, “Shall the Town revise its current ATV ordinance to include comprehensive State and local regulations, increased enforcement, and identification of all costs and funding requirements? The policy is to be written by the Selectboard, with the help of the Planning Commission, for approval by the Selectboard. If this Article is not approved, the current ordinance limiting ATVs to Class 4 roads will remain in effect.” The draft article will be reviewed by the Town Moderator and brought back to the Select Board for final approval on Jan. 8.
