Three people have been charged related to the stabbing of Alan Tanguay, 32, of St. Johnsbury. Tanguay was transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury but now remains hospitalized at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, where his condition is reported to be stable. Michael John, 29, no fixed address, pleaded not guilty in Caledonia Superior Court on Wednesday to felony charges of aggravated assault and assault and robbery with injury. John is the alleged stabber. Judge Michael R. Kainen set conditions of release and a $50,000 bail on John. He is now being held at Northeast Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury. Brandi Whittemore, 31, pleaded not guilty in Caledonia Superior Court on Wednesday to a felony charge of accessory aiding in the commission of assault and robbery with injury. Judge Michael R. Kainen set conditions of release and a $20,000 bail on Whittemore. She is now being held at Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility in South Burlington. Gary Audas, 51, of Lyndonville, pleaded not guilty in Caledonia Superior Court on Wednesday to a charge of felony accessory after the fact – assault and robbery with injury. Judge Michael R. Kainen set conditions of release and a $5,000 bail on Audas. He is now being held at Northeast Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury
