The Damage caused by last week’s storm to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery is impacting access

ST. JOHNSBURY—The Damage caused by last week’s storm to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery is impacting access and disrupting graveside plans. Cemetery superintendent Tina Chasse said the 50-acre cemetery is closed to vehicular traffic and expected to remain so for the remainder of the season. The cemetery is typically open to vehicles between Memorial Day and Veterans Day, but the damage to multiple road surfaces means a closure now. Chasse said pedestrians are allowed into the cemetery but must be cautious.
