CONCORD — Sid’s Pantry, located in Concord, recently announced receipt of a $15,000 Community Driven Initiatives (CDI) grant from the Vermont Foodbank. This grant will bolster Sid’s Pantry’s efforts to provide support beyond food assistance. The grant comes at a crucial time, when pantry officials say the need for holistic support services is more critical than ever. With this funding, Sid’s Pantry will expand its initiatives to include supplemental food options such as cleaning and personal items. Moreover, a significant portion of the grant will be allocated to launching the Welcome to Wellness Program. This program will offer workshops focused on healthy living, covering topics such as nutrition, mental health, and physical fitness. In addition to these initiatives, Sid’s Pantry will utilize the grant to launch a townwide newsletter of upcoming events and success stories within the community.
