Sgt. Derek Sullivan was promoted to chief
LISBON — The Lisbon Police Department has a new leader. Sgt. Derek Sullivan was promoted to chief on Jan. 6. He replaces former Chief Ben Bailey, whose resignation was accepted by the Select Board following a half-hour non-public discussion on Nov. 20. Sullivan becomes Lisbon’s fourth police chief in the last ten years. Sullivan takes over the LPD at a time when regionalization talks are ongoing. A study committee authorized by 2023 Town Meeting is working to determine the feasibility of a three-town regional police department (Lisbon, Lyman, Bath).
