Person renovating The Allard Block is making plans for parking

WHITEFIELD — In a sign of progress, the person renovating The Allard Block is making plans for parking. Rob Wisnouckas spoke with the Select Board on Monday to discuss parking options for the century-old downtown building. Wisnouckas is two-and-a-half years into renovating the long-dormant structure, which has sat empty for over two decades. If all goes according to plan, the three-story, 8,900-square-foot Allard Block will house up to eight short-term rental units and two street-level retail spaces. There is no timeline for project completion, but Wisnouckas told the Select Board he is nearly done with the second unit and aims to open a coffee shop next.
