North Countrys newest state senator David Rochfort,  is sponsoring legislation to help compensate long-term care facilities

The North Country’s newest state senator David Rochfort,  is sponsoring legislation to help compensate long-term care facilities and another bill to study ways to better implement and fund Emergency Medical Services. Also on deck is a bill that would carry stiffer penalties for repeat fentanyl offenders and another to gather more data on the state meals and rooms tax and how that data could impact and possibly benefit local communities. Long-Term Care Funding Senate Bill 131 would establish provisional eligibility for Medicaid nursing facilities as part of the long-term care process.
