Newport Center Man Airlifted After Two Vehicle Crash on Rt 100

NEWPORT CTR. — A Newport Center man was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center on March 14, the result of a two-vehicle crash at 4:21 p.m. on Rt. 100 here. State troopers said a southbound vehicle operated by Shane Prue, 33, of Newport Center, was being driven recklessly, well in excess of the speed limit and was passing vehicles in a no-passing zone. Prue lost control of his vehicle, went off the roadway, struck a culvert and a pile of large rocks.  The crash remains under investigation.
