New Hampshire Department of Transportation’s regional office is short-handed

ANCASTER — The New Hampshire Department of Transportation’s regional office is short-handed after a wave of departures. Three of four engineers resigned from District One in what NHDOT calls a coincidence. Among those leaving is principal engineer Phil Beaulieu, who worked 12 1/2 years for NHDOT and spent nine years leading District One, which covers the sprawling North Country. Contrary to rumors, he said, the three engineers leaving at the same time was pure chance. He added that his decision to step down was a difficult one. Beaulieu and his second-in-command (the Assistant District Engineer) worked their final day on Friday.
