Heating companies in New Hampshire are working overtime this week
Heating companies in New Hampshire are working overtime this week to keep homes warm during a stretch of frigid weather. Home oil delivery services are seeing a surge in demand as nighttime temperatures dip to near or below zero in much of New Hampshire. Joe Sculley, executive director of the Energy Marketers Association of New Hampshire, said drivers are working extra hours to keep tanks filled. Federal limits dictate how many hours truck drivers can work, but waivers are in place to allow oil and propane delivery drivers to work longer and make more deliveries. Sculley said he has spoken to drivers across the state, and they have told him they don’t mind working the longer hours to help keep homes warm.
