Funding for Rural Edge will support affordable housing projects in Danville and Peacham

Funding for Rural Edge will support affordable housing projects in Danville and Peacham, including one that will transform the former Peacham Academy building. Financial support from the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board and the Vermont Housing Finance Agency for the projects was announced last month. On May 9, the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board awarded $3,649,756 to help Rural Edge acquire and rehabilitate the two existing senior housing communities, a “gut” rehabilitation of a vacant four-unit building that was built as the Science Building of the Peacham Academy, and an addition of six new units and community space at Grand View Apartments. The effort will establish 26 affordable housing units.
