Firefighters remained on the scene of a brush fire
BRENTWOOD, N.H. — Firefighters remained on the scene of a brush fire in Brentwood Tuesday morning that broke out the night before. Officials said reports of the fire started coming in at about 10:30 p.m. Monday. The fire started about a mile into the woods on the Brentwood/Exeter line in the area of Route 111A and Pine Road. As of 5 a.m. Tuesday, crews were being pulled away from the fire to wait for daylight after the bulk of the fire was knocked down. Officials said at that point the fire had burned about four acres. They said no structures were threatened and no injuries were reported. Crews from 12 communities, including York, Maine, were called to assist with firefighting efforts.
