Fairbanks Museum will officially welcome the public to Matsinger Forest
This weekend, Fairbanks Museum will officially welcome the public to Matsinger Forest, a 500-acre nature preserve that showcases the ecological diversity and serenity of the Northeast Kingdom. Matsinger Forest, located near Greenbanks Hollow on the Danville—Peacham town line, was donated by Barbara and John Matsinger to the museum in 2022 to preserve the land they had lived on for years and realize their dream that it would be used for environmental education, forest stewardship and community access.
