Cornish Now Home to Five State Registered Historic Buildings

CORNISH, N.H. (WCAX) – Cornish, New Hampshire, an Upper Valley town perhaps most well known as the home of author J.D. Salinger, now also has five state-registered historical buildings to put it on the map. History abounds in Cornish, whether it’s the 460-foot covered bridge over the Connecticut River or the Trinity Church that was built in the early 1800s. Rachel Hamel’s family has owned the 12 Percent Solution Store for three decades. Nearby, an old horse-drawn carriage is parked in front of the Vermont Green Dwelling Apothecary. And now more buildings will be preserved for the future. The Town Office is one of them.
