LANCASTER — A wrong-way driver faces multiple drug charges. According to Lancaster Police, 43-year-old Nicole Lamphere of Madison, Maine, was hit with four counts of felony possession with intent to distribute and one count each of driving under the influence of drugs, reckless operation, driving without a valid license, and a yellow line violation. Lamphere was pulled over on Aug. 2 for driving on the wrong side of the road, and during the stop, Officer David Walker observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. During a subsequent search of Lamphere’s vehicle, LPD found numerous baggies of suspected illicit drugs along with needles, pipes, scales, packaging materials and other items commonly used in the sale of illicit drugs. Lamphere was transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections for Protective Custody due to her level of intoxication and later released on personal recognizance bail. She is slated to appear in 1st Circuit Lancaster District Court on Aug. 5.
