A vacant house that had already been failing structurally
ST. JOHNSBURY — A vacant house that had already been failing structurally at the
corner of Harrison Avenue and Concord Avenue is considered a total loss after a fire
there on Saturday morning. Firefighters were quick to get to the property at 14 Harrison
Ave. soon after the emergency call was made from a man passing by the house while
walking his dog. Joining St. Johnsbury firefighters at the scene were firefighters from
Littleton, N.H. and Lyndonville. CALEX Ambulance personnel were also there for
medical support. Other than one firefighter from Littleton who suffered a minor cut to his
hand, no other injuries were reported.
