A New Hampshire judge has ordered a man allegedly connected to an international theft ring
CONCORD, N.H. — A New Hampshire judge has ordered a man allegedly connected to an international theft ring to be held on $500,000 bail. Prosecutors said he was caught stealing gift cards from a Concord store in an effort to scam New Hampshire shoppers. The judge in this case described the evidence presented during a hearing Tuesday as disturbing and said this theft ring is far-reaching. Huihuang Zheng was arrested outside of a Concord Walgreens store in March, as he allegedly tried to steal gift cards from the store, officials said. Prosecutors said Zheng is among a group of people who have carried out an elaborate gift card scheme in New Hampshire and across the country. Prosecutors alleged the group would steal the cards to access barcode and pin numbers and then steal any money that was added to them.
